چکیده
The path-integral measure of a gauge-invariant fermion theory is transformed under the chiral transformation and leads to an elegant derivation anomalous Ward-Takahashi identities, as we know from seminal work Fujikawa. We present in this alternative illuminating way calculate Jacobian covariant derivative expansion technique used effective field theory. several ways customize crucial regularization such that anomaly located desired current, which unprecedented within path integral approach. are then able derive, transparent unified way, covariant, consistent, gravitational, scale anomalies.

Gauge Anomalies in an Effective Field Theory*
A four-dimensional gauge theory with anomalous fermion content can be consistently quantized, provided that at least some gauge fields are permitted to have nonvanishing masses. Such a theory is nonrenormalizable; there is a maximal value of the ultraviolet cutoff ,4. beyond which the locality of the theory breaks down. The maximal ,4 can be estimated in perturbation theory and has a qualitativ...
متن کاملScattering From Effective Field Theory
We examine the role of the ∆∆ intermediate state in NN scattering in the S0 channel. The computation is performed at lowest order in an effective field theory involving local four-fermion operators and one pion exchange using dimensional regularization with MS. As first discussed by Weinberg, in the theory with only nucleons the large scattering length in this channel requires a small scale for...
متن کاملD-brane effective field theory from string field theory
Open string field theory is considered as a tool for deriving the effective action for the massless or tachyonic fields living on D-branes. Some simple calculations are performed in open bosonic string field theory which validate this approach. The level truncation method is used to calculate successive approximations to the quartic terms φ4, (AAμ) 2 and [Aμ, Aν ] 2 for the zero momentum tachyo...
متن کاملNucleon-Nucleon interactions from effective field theory
We have established a new convergent scheme to treat analytically nucleon-nucleon interactions from a chiral effective field theory. The Kaplan-Savage-Wise (KSW) amplitudes are resummed to fulfill the unitarity or right hand cut to all orders below pion production threshold. This is achieved by matching order by order in the KSW power counting the general expression of a partial wave with resum...
متن کاملTwo-nucleon systems from effective field theory
We elaborate on a new technique for computing properties of nucleon-nucleon interactions in terms of an effective field theory derived from low energy NN scattering data. Details of how the expansion is carried out to higher orders are presented. Analytic formulae are given for the amplitude to subleading order in both the S0 and S1 − D1 channels.
